Lo que dicen en Orca Atack Solutions:

ORCAS are now:

- Barbate. They seem to move in the hot areas described since March.
- Between Estepona and Malaga. 6 orcas. We do not know if they are moving the med, or staying in this area.
- SW of Brest, moving slowly to the NW (satellite tagged).

All Iberian orcas seem to interact now.

In all occasions they stay around 80 meters depth as mean, moving between 30 and 180 meters depth feeding on Bluefin tunas. The situation is the same as in spring, but expanded to other areas... it is not out of control.

They do not care about the type of boat, monohulls, colors, time of the day, or if it rains or not. They just look for environmental enrichment, anything to play with. They push at the bottom of the rudder and push until it breaks.

SOLUTIONS:

• Avoid the orcas.
  
• RUN RUN RUN, (at 4 knots the angle of attack of the orcas will be only 45º, cos (45º)=0,5, then the force they need to break the rudder is double thanif you stay stopped.
  
• Do not stop. If you stop, the angle is 90º... the cos of (90º) is 1, therefore they have all the power to breake it.
  
• RUN RUN RUN. After 5 minutes, at 5 knots, they should return where the tunas are.
  
• Do not stop. If you stop, you stay more than 5 minutes with them,.
  
• install the system on your rudder that repel them. Pigeon stuff is perfect. They work.

L a solucion primera mola !!

la ultima tambien es curiosa , sobre eso se deberia trabajar , he visto cosas horribles , lo de las palomas deberia bastar ???
y tambien he visto gente que promueve soltar una red lastrada por popa , como si fuera una cortina , para impedir que las orcas se acerquen por popa mientras sigues a mas de 5 nudos !!!

A qué se refiere con lo de las palomas. Se trataría de esos pequeños pinchos que se ponen en los relieves de los edificios? Si es eso, no sería muy fácil enganchar ahí todo lo que sea: algas, cabos, plásticos...?

en esencia es eso , pero yo he visto imagenes de cinturones con pinchos de cerca de un palmo  y todo ese conjunto atornillado a la pala del timon. La cuestion seria cual es la minima densidad disuasiva de pinchos , como fijarlos etz etz...por asi decirlo es como el collar de pinchos de los mastines que les ponian contra   los lobos . Enganchar algo seguro , pero si disuade ?

no se ....ese señor se curra el timon que tenia con osmosis y delaminado y va y le mete ahora un monton de tornillos ??? no lo veo !!! yo veo mas una tabla de faquir .... cuando intentas coger un cardo no tiene los pinchos gigantes, algo como lo de las palomas , pero un poco mas resistente
